Overgranulated skin, is it safe to go to the baths?
Hello,
I was on holiday to Florida last July, i think i developed the issues i have with my toe there.. i cannot remember stubbing my toe or such, possibly just two weeks of solid walking in bad shoes.
However a few weeks after getting back my big toe on my left foot started giving me some bother, it felt different to walk on. I persevered for a few months and after it started bleeding through the socks i decided enough was enough and headed to the doctors, i suspected an ingrown toenail as i hadn’t been able to cut the nail in quite some time. The GP took a look and concluded it was Over-Granulated skin, which at the time was covering the recess where my nail met the skin, at the very left hand side of the nail, it was basically a small lump of skin coming out of it. He gave me hydrocortizone cream for it and sent me home, i used the cream for a few months and noticed little improvement..Is it true this cream only moisturises the wound?

He then suggested scrapping away the overgranulated skin with a scalpel, which i nervously agreed to after a week of worrying..I really hate needles and have a very weak stomach.
I never looked at the toe during or after the op in case i passed out lol.
It was looking good for a few weeks then just went back to normal.
(I had this done in November)

At the moment the skin surrounding the toe is kind of reddish, the nail looks okay – i try to cut it whenever i feel it looks to long or gets uncomfortable to walk on, I put a small bandage around the toe every morning for school then take it off at night to let the air at the wound, i do NOT apply any cream to it. It does not feel pparticularlyuncomfortable to walk on, it did a few months back when i had to basically limp to keep pressure of it but it feels okay at the moment. The aactualtissue itself has ddefinitelyshrunk considerably, it is only just sticking out of the sides, by only just i mean 5cm.
The skin at the top tends to dry out when there is no bandage on it, i am unsure whether to scrape this off or leave it.
I am really only this concerned because it has been going on for 3/4 of a year now, though it does look alot better and feels it too, Also i went to the doctors a few months ago and asked him what to do, he told me that i could ether leave it for now or have the toenail removed, there is no way in hell i would let him yank my nail off – im a total woos lol.

Should i use cream on the wound?
Is it going to get better without another Op?
Any other tips or cures?

Lastly, i am thinking of taking up badminton with some friends and i would like to know if it is ok for me to go into the public baths after our games, would i run a risk of infection if i did?
(also it is not infected at the moment and does not smell to badly )

Want opinions on idea of creatures for fantasy story.?
I’m working on a fantasy story that has a huldra,a merman,an incubus,a vampire, a shapeshifter,and a banshee. I’m thinking of adding more creatures more specifically, a werebear,a dhampir,and maybe a cambion and/or onibaba.
However I was wondering would it be too much to have an incubus, vampire and dhampir and cambion? There would be no relation between them besides the "species".
And is it too redundant to include a werebear if there already is is a shapeshifter that turns into animals?

Just throw a few Smurfs in there to make it interesting.
Instead of clearing things up right away, the self-conscious Abby allows her best friend, Noelle, a tall, stunning blonde, to take her place for a while. Abby takes on the made-up persona of Donna, while thinking Brian would never go for her, a short, cute, brunette, who thinks she’s unattractive. As the real Abby woos Brian over the phone and radio, Noelle, the pseudo-Abby, takes her place in the flesh. As time goes on, Abby feels more and more confident that Brian would rather have the beautiful Noelle than the simply attractive Abby.

Confused about due dates? Should I bother to correct it?
My periods were regular, but it was about a 30 day cycle. When I used the online calculator it said August 6th, (instead of 4th, it added two days onto the 40 weeks because it’s 30 days). Anyway, so I had my appointment and mistakenly said my LMP was the 27th of October (as opposed to the 28th by accident). So they told me I was due August 3rd. Should I at least get it changed to August 4th? Or will it simply mean that if my baby is late I’ll be induced a day earlier?

It doesn’t matter. It’s 1 day. And it’s just an estimate of about when baby might come.

A due date is based off of your LMP, when you didn’t get pregnant, you ovulated 10 – 14 days later. That’s when you got pregnant and that’s why so many babies are "late".

Odds are you’ll go over either date.

Are the English feeling the pinch?
The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent terrorist
threats and have raised their security level from "Miffed" to
"Peeved." Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to
"Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross." The English have not been "A Bit
Cross" since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies all but ran out.

Terrorists have been re-categorised from "Tiresome" to a "Bloody
Nuisance." The last time the British issued a "Bloody Nuisance"

The Scots raised their threat level from "Pissed Off" to "Let’s get
they have been used on the front line of the British army for the last
300 years.

The French government announced yesterday that it has raised its
terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide". The only two higher levels in
France are "Collaborate" and "Surrender." The rise was precipitated by
a recent fire that destroyed France

Was Paul really who instituted the Lord's Supper?
Hear me out before just telling me no, okay? Yes, I know it’s a wall of text, but give me a couple minutes.

Paul claimed his teachings were not taught to him by anybody but Jesus himself. (Galatians 1:12)

And about the Lord’s Supper, he specifically says in 1 Corinthians 11:23-24 "For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, ‘This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.’"

He received the teaching of the Lord’s Supper directly from Jesus in a vision, "I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you."

But how can that be if the church was already celebrating the Lord’s Supper from the beginning? Paul spent significant time with the churches both in Antioch and Jerusalem, sharing in their fellowship. How could he possibly not known of it?

The only possible way I can see is that they didn’t have it yet, and that it originated with Paul’s claims to have received it from Jesus later. Isn’t it odd that the epistles of the other apostles make *no* reference to the Lord’s Supper? Isn’t it odd that the only Gospel to make the specific claim to be based on the testimony of a single eye witness who was present at that last Passover doesn’t mention it? [I am, of course, speaking of the Gospel of John, based on testimony of one individual (John 21:20, 24) who was present at the Last Supper (John 13:23).]

All the gospels were written later than Paul’s epistles, and Matthew, Mark and Luke were based on multiple sources–Luke makes that specific claim, to use multiple sources, in Luke 1:1-4. Could not one of those sources be Paul’s claim of a vision? Mark and Luke were not eyewitnesses themselves but they were followers of Paul, and we have no idea if Matthew the apostle was the sole writer or last editor of the gospel that bears his name, and in any case, it’s after Paul’s influence that it was written.

Paul’s claim to have received the teaching of the Lord’s Supper was written before any other description of Jesus doing it. People like Peter, James and John, whom we know to have been present at the last supper, make no mention of it at all.

To sum up, I ask if the early church had the Lord’s Supper before Paul, how could he have not known about it before Jesus revealed it to him, and why don’t New Testament documents unconnected to Paul mention it?

The time that Jesus got up at the dinner table and said "Except ye eat my flesh."
John 6:53
Unless I’m mistaken the lord’s supper and the last supper are the same thing.

As for Paul he was a hideous reprobate and never met Jesus, he pretended to convert after Jesus’ death.
.

 | Feb 07, 2010

paul didn’t claim that. i read the first sentence and it was stupid enough for me to determine i should not read anymore of it. NO, the Lord’s supper was displayed in egypt, when the blood saved the people from judgment.
… | Feb 07, 2010

 No God
Nicole C | Feb 07, 2010

No. Acts chapter 2 mentions the disciples "breaking bread" (partaking of communinon) before Paul became a Christian. Infact, it was on the day of Pentecost when the church was born.

Paul did not know about the details of the Lord’s Supper because he was killing Christians until after his Damascus Road experience. After that Jesus revealed many things to him.
Super Kitteh | Feb 07, 2010

When you read the context of 1 Cor 11 you see that people were coming to church ONLY to eat! Paul was chastising them for this practice!

Try this:

1Cr 11:21 For I am told that some of you hurry to eat your own meal without sharing with others. As a result, some go hungry while others get drunk.

1Cr 11:22 What? Is this really true? Don’t you have your own homes for eating and drinking? Or do you really want to disgrace the church of God and shame the poor? What am I supposed to say about these things? Do you want me to praise you? Well, I certainly do not!

1Cr 11:23 For this is what the Lord himself said, and I pass it on to you just as I received it. On the night when he was betrayed, the Lord Jesus took a loaf of bread,

1Cr 11:24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is given [fn] for you. Do this in remembrance of me."

1Cr 11:25 In the same way, he took the cup of wine after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant between God and you, sealed by the shedding of my blood. Do this in remembrance of me as often as you drink it."

1Cr 11:26 For every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are announcing the Lord’s death until he comes again.

1Cr 11:27 So if anyone eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord unworthily, that person is guilty of sinning against the body and the blood of the Lord.

1Cr 11:28 That is why you should examine yourself before eating the bread and drinking from the cup.

1Cr 11:29 For if you eat the bread or drink the cup unworthily, not honoring the body of Christ, [fn] you are eating and drinking God’s judgment upon yourself.

1Cr 11:30 That is why many of you are weak and sick and some have even died.
The lord’s supper was the passover dinner. Jesus told them in Luke that He had desired to eat this passover with them, before He left. It was nothing new
Jesus said to do this in rememberence of Me.
Why are you so ignorant? The Passover was since Moses and Jesus tells us whose blood and whose body the Lamb is.
